Let's Keep You On Track: Double Flange Wheels

This time on The Roundup, Acorn is sharing another interesting application where Nylacron®, The New Steel, has the right stuff over metal. Our steel fabricator partner sought additional support for steel driven drive wheels that we also manufactured for their metal processing operations, machined in-house using solid 4140 steel billets. They need to know that the support double flange wheels they choose for their track systems perform strongly and consistently but without harming other components. Nylacron® performs as well on these metal tracks as its metal counterparts, with the added benefit of not wearing out the tracks while working with the tracks, which is a tendency with metal-on-metal scenarios and often necessitates very costly track replacement. That makes Nylacron® more track-friendly, in addition to more floor-friendly in other environments. 

There are good reasons we so often look to Nylacron® to help solve our partners' challenges. It is something of a gentle giant. We like to call it The New Steel, because Nylacron®, has the same load capacity that steel does, but at 1/3 the weight of steel. It is also 100% American-made and ultrasound-tested.
