Welcome back to The Roundup. In this edition we’re taking you through BASICS and sharing the essentials behind Acorn’s offering to make browsing for solutions for your projects easier than ever.
CASTERS are assemblies featuring a wheel that attach to an object to enable motion and are categorized by Duty, or the load capacity that the caster can serve – with Light serving up to 500 LB, Medium up to 2,500 LB, Heavy up to 20,000 LB, and Ultra up to and even exceeding 40,000 LB when necessary. We also have a class covering all duty ranges, Specialty Casters, that includes Caster Jacks, Dolly, Gate, Stage/Scene, Leveling, Kingpinless Pneumatic Casters, and more.
This new duty system is designed to be easier to navigate and shop, made to assist our partners, collaborators, and customers, find the right solutions for their projects more easily and more quickly than ever before, and much more user friendly than a 10-Category system.
WHEELS are circular objects that rotate on axles or shafts used to facilitate movement – and are categorized by material.
Nylacron® we like to call The New Steel, since it features the same load capacity as Steel at 1/3 the weight.
Vulkollan®, The Ultimate Elastomer is produced by our Belgian partners Vulkoprin and exclusively distributed in America by Acorn®. Vulkollan® is often imitated and never duplicated – and sometimes nothing else will do, so we can help you get your Vulkollan®.
Kryptothane™ is your go-to for Food, Pharma, & Healthcare applications, with clean reliability and contamination prevention. Kryptotathane Blue has impressive temperature range, and Kryptothane Gray even more so.
