Welcome back to The Roundup. When it comes to these Spring-Loaded Casters, as is often the case, there is more than meets the eye. When precious cargo has a less-than-smooth ride ahead, choices can and must be made to protect the product. This material handling challenge was met by employing some customizations to meet certain needs expressed by our 30-year OEM partner. Since we were dealing with very long aluminum truss and a mandatory overall height, we produced a custom-size wheel, turning once again to Nylacron®, The New Steel, for its strength and gentility. Considering dedicated deflection loads and uneven surfaces along travel areas, we curated special springs softer than the standard to outfit this casters fleet. These choices are always made with safety and load requirements at top-of-mind. We carefully consider details for solutions, so that our partner can implement, trust, forget, and keep moving.
